Client wins £5,000 in case against Co-op
We acted for a client who worked for the Co-op in their shop fitting department. He was employed as a cabinet maker in the machine shop and was exposed to excessive levels of noise. The machine shop had a number of loud machines including band saws, planers, circular saws, rip saws and panel saws. The noise levels were such that our client was unable to hold a conversation with his colleagues without shouting to be heard. A settlement was agreed with the Defendant Solicitors in the sum of £5,000.
